NS Bikes Synonym TR2 29" is for you if you want the speed of a light XC bike, but need more confidence on technical sections. It is a carbon full-suspension MTB with 120 mm of travel front and rear, so it handles roots, rocks and quick changes of pace better than a classic marathon bike.

On climbs, the Synonym TR2 still keeps a sporty feel. The carbon frame, fast 29" wheels and SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain let you push hard without feeling like you are dragging a heavy trail bike uphill. On descents, you get more composure thanks to the FOX 34 fork, a longer riding position and geometry that does not feel nervous when the trail gets faster.

Trail-ready Synonym without losing XC speed

The Synonym TR2 is more versatile than a typical XC bike. If you like long climbs, fast singletrack and technical sections, this setup gives you a very good balance. It does not feel slow on flatter ground, responds well when you push harder on the pedals and gives you more confidence when a steep descent or a rooty section appears.

The FOX Performance 34 Step Cast Float Grip 120 mm fork gives the front end more stiffness than lighter XC forks, while the FOX Performance Elite Float DPS shock helps the rear wheel stay planted over rough ground. This makes it easier to hold your line, keep your rhythm and ride faster where a classic XC bike starts to demand more caution.

The 66° head angle gives more composure on descents than a classic XC bike, but the bike still stays quick and efficient on climbs. The front end does not feel twitchy at higher speed, and the bike keeps its sporty response when you want to accelerate out of a corner.

A 466 mm reach in size M and 491 mm in size L give you a modern position with more room on the bike. The 438 mm chainstay keeps the rear end well balanced. This helps the Synonym TR2 corner well, move quickly through tighter sections and stay stable on more demanding parts of the trail.
