What is ICS on a scooter?
ICS (Inverted Compression System) is a lightweight setup that uses a long bolt and a star nut hidden inside the bar to keep the fork and handlebar tight while allowing smooth spins.
Which bars fit ICS?
You need a steel scooter bar with a slit and an inner diameter of about 28 mm so the star nut can sit securely.
Do I need a special fork for ICS?
Yes. The fork must be made for ICS and have space for the long compression bolt. IHC or HIC forks will not work.
How do I install the star nut?
Remove the bar, place the star nut on a setting tool or long bolt, and tap it into the bottom of the bar until it sits a few centimeters inside, straight and tight.
How often should I tighten the ICS bolt?
Check and retighten every few riding sessions, especially after hard park landings, to keep the headset free of play.
