An IHC clamp is a scooter clamp made for the IHC compression system. It secures the handlebar to the fork and keeps the headset tight for smooth bar spins.
IHC clamps fit standard diameter bars, 31.8 mm outer and about 28.6 mm inner. Oversize 34.9 mm bars require a different system or a dedicated shim and clamp.
No. IHC clamps are designed for IHC only. For SCS or HIC you need clamps built for those standards.
Inspect the clamp bolts every few sessions. Replace the clamp if you notice cracks, stripped bolts or persistent play in the bars.
Most IHC setups use a single clamp with two or three bolts. You do not need to stack two separate clamps, choose the correct bolt count and quality for your riding style.
