Classic Era style, rebuilt for skateboarding
Vans Skate Era keeps the familiar low-top shape of the original Era while adding the upgrades needed for harder, more regular riding. It is a good option if you want classic Vans styling with more support and durability than a standard casual shoe.
The suede and canvas upper keeps the shoe flexible, while internal reinforcements help it cope with the repeated wear that comes from griptape, pedals and long sessions.
More durability where it matters
DuraCap™ reinforcements protect high-wear areas and help extend the life of the upper. This is especially useful around the parts of the shoe that regularly come into contact with griptape or pedals.
The result is a tougher construction without changing the classic low-profile feel of the Era.
Better cushioning for harder landings
PopCush™ insoles help absorb impact and reduce foot fatigue during longer sessions. They add more comfort underfoot while keeping enough feedback for controlled riding.
This makes the Skate Era suitable not only for skateboarding, but also for BMX and scooter riding where repeated landings can put extra pressure on your feet.
Grip you can rely on
SickStick™ rubber improves traction and helps keep your feet stable during take-offs, landings and quick corrections. The vulcanised sole also keeps the shoe flexible and close to the board, deck or pedals.
Secure fit during riding
A redesigned heel and internal tongue straps help keep the foot in place and reduce unwanted movement inside the shoe. This gives you a more stable fit during technical riding and longer sessions.
